Puerta Vallarta

Jeff and I had a really good time in Mexico. We went for 6 days without the kids=) It was actually very hard to leave them for that long, but it was a much needed break for both of us. We went with my best friend Crystal and her husband Bart. Cindy, a friend from Chicago, and crystals dad and his new family who actually live in Mexico. We stayed at the Marriott there. It was so gorgeous. The pool was right on the beach. One of the best things we did there was called canopy adventure. We got to ride in a big Swiss army truck up into the mountains about 50 min and just sit and enjoy how pretty and green it was. Then we got all our gear on( harnesses, helmets, carabieners, gloves etc..) and you basically zipline from tree to tree about 90ft up in the air just over looking the trees. It was awesome!!! They said total rope was a little over a mile and a half. The rest of the days we just relaxed, ate lots of mexican food, did a boat tour the next day that took you to different beaches and snorkeling, we played in the ocean, went downtown to the flea markets, the boys attempted to boogie board, you know just typical stuff you do on vacation. We had a really good time. Thank you so much to Doug and Sandi (aka grandma and grandpa) for watching the kids while we were gone. We hope you do not have more grey hair HE HE. And thank you to Brian and Becky for picking us up at the airport at 11:00p.m, at the last minute and letting us gratefully crashing at your house after missing our connecting flight. ( NOT OUR FAULT) Any way here is a little slide show. There were so many pictures I could not decide, maybe I will post some more a little later.

more pics......

Here are just a few more pictures of our camping trip. Sorry there are so many, I hope these are not boring.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Here we are on a little hike, Brandon loves to be in the back pack. Matthew is hiking with his cousin John. We also did a little drive up to what is called trail ridge road. It was beautiful up there. We saw 2 groups of Elk, and some snow that the kids liked playing in.

Happy Birthday Grandma

Today is my Grandma Cottle's birthday. Some of the fun memories I have with my grandma are Christmas when I was young, orange carpet in the basement, Light bright and tinkertoys, yummy homemade cookies, grandkid reunions, anti-i-over, more yummy homemade treats, swimming in the cardston pool, all the pennies she gave us for pennie candies at the store, and plays. I think I could go on and on. Grandma, I just wanted to thank you for the great example you are to me, and thank you for all the help you have given me. I really look up to you and grandpa and am greatful for the strong testimonies that you have. I can't wait to celebrate my 50th anniversary with Jeff. That is such a great milestone. I hope you had a great birthday. Love ya.

babbling on

Yea. This is my first video I have been able to post. I really hope it works. I also wanted to say HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13th. I love friday the 13th. We like to watch scary movies (like cujo) j//k family joke, eat lots and lots of popcorn, and stay up late. Yesterday I went and got shots, it has been at least 10 years so I decided to get a tetnus shot, and I also got my Hep A shot for our trip to Mexico. Can never be to safe. So my arm is killing me. It's really hard to lift the kids. Anyway enough babbling.

Evolution of Dance

This is truly one of the funniest, yet entertaining 6 min I have seen in awhile. Take the time to watch.

1st haircut

Brandon got his 1st haircut today. He was starting to get a mullet in the back, so we thought it was a good time . He got to sit in a cool yellow jeep and enjoy a dum dum. He was actually really good the whole time.

Doesn't he look handsome =)

mastering stairs

Here is brandon climbing up on the picnic table. He likes to stand up on the bench. I am just waiting for him to fall and hurt himself. Maybe it's time to move the table downstairs?

Brandon has finally entered the world of climbing and crawling up the stairs. Yea for me. This morning I thought all of the kids were playing downstairs and then I heard them in the monitor. I walked up stairs and found all 3 kids in Matthews room. Brandon had crawled up both sets of stairs, which is about 27 stairs without me even knowing. Time to head to Babies R Us for some gates.

4th of July

Our 4th of July was really good. We started out the morning by going to a parade. The kids had a good time collecting candy. Grandma and Grandpa Bone came to visit for the week, so it was really fun to have them there. We did a few things throughout the day. Saw a movie had a barbecue for dinner. And then took the kids to see the fireworks. I was really worried about Brandon, but he was really interested in them and loved them. Matthew on the other hand fell asleep mid show and did not wake up.

Having fun

Here is matthew and ashlie playing outside. Ashlie has a tinkerbell dress that she wears daily and will not take off until bed time. As well as her high heel shoes. So i thought I would take this picture of her riding her scooter in her dress. So sexy I know.

Brandon has finally discovered my kitchen cubords. Cookie sheets, bowls, cans, brooms you name it he will find it.

Gone fishing

We actually went fishing back in June, but the kids had a really good time. Both Ashlie and Matthew got the hang of it really quick. Unfortunately we caught no fish.

Bowling

One of the kids favorite things to do is go bowling. We try to go on thursdays up at grandma and grandpa wurstens house. We usually go up on the air force base and it's only 1$ a game. It's really fun. Matthew actually bowled a 95 last game. It was amazing.
