Not quite ready!

Here is what Kyle thought of his first taste of rice cereal. Can you tell how much he enjoyed it. Oh well, we will try again next week.

You know it's time for a haircut when?

4 Months old

4 Months:

Weight: 13.5 Lbs (25 %)

Heigth: 24.25 in (25 %)

You can roll to your side not fully rolling yet

You found your feet and love to grab them

You ALWAYS have your hands in your mouth, you love to chew on them

You love your swing and the bumbo

You love your baths and started splashing

You sleep 10-11 hour before waking up to eat

You like to go swimming

You just went into size 2 diapers 

You love when we sing to you. Favorite songs are patty cake and twinkle little star

You LOVE your crib mobile

Not to much going on, you are just getting to big to fast. We love having you around, and your sweet little personality is really starting to come out. You love to giggle and gnaw on my shoulder when I am holding you. It's really funny. 

Brandon's Surgery

Last Wednesday Brandon went  into surgery for a cyst that he had in his eye, as you can see in this picture. It was really sad to have to see him going into the OR and to be put to sleep. He did really well though and is back to his normal self. The funniest part was when they gave him the medicine versed that helped to relax him. He was hilarious!! I was cracking up. After that, they wheeled him away in a little red wagon. It was very cute.

Here are a few pictures taken with Jeff's phone. I was so mad I forgot my camera. These pics are right after he came out of Surgery, it must be hard to come out of the anesthesia medicine because he was not very happy. They kept him in my arms for about an hour to make sure that he was ok, and that he started eating some animal crackers and drinking water.

Grandma and Grandpa visit

Last weekend my Grandma and Grandpa came to visit us on there way to Phoenix. I have not seen them in almost 4 years, so it was such a wonderful visit and so fun to see them. The kids really enjoyed them and warmed up pretty quick. On Thursday when they arrived we just relaxed and had a BBQ. On Friday, we took them to the Aquarium where the kids always have a good time, and then later that evening they took us to dinner at the Cheesecake factory. It was such a wonderful visit and we are so glad they came to visit.

Presidents Day

So this morning I went to the  APEX center to work out, and on our way out the kids said maybe we can come and swim later. I told them that it might be really crowded because of Presidents Day. Then Ashlie said to me " mom then where are all the presents". I was laughing to my self. I said it was Presidents Day, not Presents day. She is a goof.

Western Stock show

We took the kids over to the western stock show. We had a really good time at the rodeo. The kids really enjoyed the bull riding. In one of the events, where the cowboys rope the calf and tie the legs together, the cow was just laying there, and Matthew said "mom is he dead"

I thought it was really funny.

You are starting to get such a personality, you giggle at me when I sing to you (probably because I can't sing) 

You give the biggest smiles to me and daddy

You LOVE to chew on your hands

You like to have your burp cloth on your tummy so you can eat it or snuggle with it

You are discovering your hands, and trying to grab more things

You really enjoy staring and smiling at your toys that hang

You now sleep 11-12 hours straight!!

The first picture is of the day he was born, this one is his 3 month old. I can't believe how big he is getting already. We just love him!!!

Presents: backpack filled with sleeping bag, flashlight,and water bottle, tent, Step 2 kitchen and a lot of things to go in it, Leana (from diamond castle), Diamond castle computer, Purple dragon and book, princess makeup,& island princess barbie. We had such a fun birthday swimming at the APEX center and BBQ ing with family. She was going to have a party with her friends, but 6 of them were sick, so we canceled. I felt really bad, but what are you going to do.

Happy Birthday Ashlie

Happy Birthday Ashlie. Saturday was Ashlie's birthday. I can't believe just 4 years ago on a cold day in Cleveland Ashlie was born. It has gone by so fast. She is such a sweet girl, and the peacemaker of our family. She is going to have to learn to hold her own being the only girl and 3 brother. We love you Ashlie!
